In the novel The Kite Runner the story of Amir, a little Afghani boy, is exhibited and the reader sees the incredible hardship Amir faces in his life in Afghanistan. Through this story the theme of friendship is vibrant as the reader sees the friendship between Amir and Hassan. Not only is friendship noticed, but so is redemption. How can Amir redeem himself for the mistakes he has made? These are things seen in every day life and now they go further when they are connected to Amir.
